While this County used to be the “bellwether” County of America, picking the President elect at each election, we lost that honor when Clinton was elected. We as Democrats form the loyal opposition in our County although increasingly there is swing towards Democratic candidates.

We believe that the Democratic Party best serves the interests of both our Country and our County. Our beliefs about our Party will be reflected in the “thoughts” page of this website. As Democrats we are part of a larger Community of caring and concerned people, as shown in our “links” page.

We encourage and desire the participation of all Crook County Democrats in our Central Committee, and our meeting schedule and place of meetings is therefore another page on this website. We also have a “projects” page so that you can see what we are doing.

Lastly, this website hosts some important contact information about the Oregon Democratic Rural Caucus. This is a newly forming part of the Oregon Democratic Party, designed to develop and share positions on rural issues for use by the Democratic Party.
